Now Showing at The Paisley Violin

I'm very happy to announce that an exhibit of dry point prints are on exhibit at the Paisley Violin cafe in Phoenix. The Paisley is located at 1029 Grand Ave. They serve a wonderful lunch and feature a full bar. The show will open on the First Friday art walk, Jan. 1, 2010 and will run through the entire month. Please drop by if you get a chance. Thanks

Here are some of my newer prints. The bottom image is a new technique for me, collagraph. A piece of organza material was glued to a sheet of matte board. The gradations of tone were achieved by painting layers of acrylic gel medium on the organza. The other two are dry points

Dry Point Figures

Here are a few dry point prints. The figures in these prints were incised on a plastic plate using a sharp needle. The plates were made during life drawing sessions. The prints were pulled using my homemade etching press at my home studio.

Welcome to Eric's art blog

Thanks for dropping by my new space. I'll be posting photos of my work from time to time and keeping every one updated on shows and exhibits. At present, I have several dry point prints up at the Capital Cafe, 17th Ave and Van Buren in Phoenix that will be up through the end of the month. I also am participating in a group show of nude figure work hosted by Dinnerware Artspace in downtown Tucson.
