Printmakers of ICON - Upcoming Show

I'm very happy to be showing with my printmaker friends at The Paisley Violin in June. Joan Thompson, Stu Biscoe and myself will be showing our print work that originated from the weekly ICON Figure drawing group. The show will be up for June's First Friday artwalk and continue through the entire month. The Paisley is located at 1029 Grand Ave, Phoenix. They serve a wonderful lunch and feature a full bar. If you're in town please drop by.

More Collage

Over the past couple of months I've continued to work with collage and dry point intaglio. Have found some interesting hand made papers with nice organic elements to work into the compositions. Will be featuring these in my upcoming show in June.

The Journey Continues

Working with Collage

Been working with collagraph plates recently. I find leaves, twigs and assorted stuff from my back yard and glue them to a matte board matrix. Sometimes I add texture by brushing on acrylic mediums. The plate is inked and printed intaglio. I've been using some interesting hand made papers. The collagraph prints are matched with drypoint prints and collaged. It's been a fun process that will be explored further. Enjoy and stay tuned. Thanks for stopping by

New Works

Here are some of my newer prints. The bottom image is a new technique for me, collagraph. A piece of organza material was glued to a sheet of matte board. The gradations of tone were achieved by painting layers of acrylic gel medium on the organza. The other two are dry points

Here are some of my newer dry points. I picked up a very nice jute paper that is yielding some interesting results. Hope you enjoy.
